Guarantee
 


STORAGE TANK
- Pressure cylinder: 5 years guarantee against leaks and mechanical failures.
- Electric components: 1 year guarantee.
- Safety valves: 1 year guarantee.

The above guarantees are subject to the following conditions:
   

1. The storage tank must be installed according to manufacturer’s instructions.
2. A 400kPa expansion relief valve must be used on every installation.
3. On installations where the inlet supply pressure could exceed 400kPa an appropriate
pressure-regulating valve must be installed.
4. Water conditions equivalent to main metropolitan supply authorities in South Africa.
 
SOLAR PANEL – COPPER MANIFOLD
The solar panel is guaranteed against leaks and other malfunctions for a period of 5 years
subject to the following conditions:
    1. The installation must be done in line with the guidelines given by the manufacturer.
2. The panel is not guaranteed against freezing damages. In regions where freezing
conditions are possible, the panel should be installed only with the heat exchange
storage where the heat transfer medium is antifreeze.
3. The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for clogging of the solar panel as a
result of poor water quality.
4. Damages to glass are not covered by this guarantee.
 
INSTALLATION
Installations carried out by teams employed by SunTank are guaranteed as follows:
    · Workmanship: 1 year from date of invoice.
· Pipes, fittings, valves and other accessories: Subject to guarantees of their respective
manufacturers.
  Please note:
    · Heat exchange (indirect) systems require an occasional top-up of heat transfer fluid.
This can be carried out by the customer or by a SunTank service team. This
service is chargeable and does not form part of the warranty.
· Water heaters on which a solar conversion is performed are not covered by the
manufacturer’s guarantee. SunTank’s guarantee will only cover the solar components
and workmanship.
· Damage to the system caused by forces of nature (e.g.: lightning, fire, storm, etc) is not
covered by SunTank’s guarantee.
